Natural and Unnatural Beauty

I love taking photographs. Like most busy mum's most of my photos are taken on the go using my mobile phone. Also, like most mum's, the majority of my photos are of my children, my husband or my dogs. However, occasionally I do like to get creative. I have dabbled in Photoshop and have invested in a decent DSLR camera. This means when we are out and about I can take more pictures and better quality photos that I can actually print off instead of just sticking them on Insta.

The images shown here are a combination of my love of surrealism and some that I just took to capture the beauty of my local area.

I always think I am very lucky to live where I do, within driving distance we have the wonderful cities of Newcastle and York. We also have the Lake district close by and the stunning North Yorkshire Moors. These are places we often take our dogs on walks and I hold everyone up by stopping to take photographs of the breathtaking scenery that surrounds us.

These walks out in the local countryside feed my soul and I don't think I will ever not be in awe of nature. No matter what the season I love to be out in the open spaces, kids and dogs running free, breathing in fresh air and enjoying the seemingly never ending space around us.
And yes, I still take 100s of photos of my kids and dogs. Not even sorry.
